I'M SIXTEEN ABOUT 190 POUNDS AND I'M ALMOST SIX FOOT. MY BROTHER ALWYS MAKES JOKES ABOUT HOW I'M APIG AND EAT ALL THE FOOD AND EVERYTHING. I WANT TO LOSE THE WEIGHT NOT JUST SO HE'LL SHUT UP BUT FOR ME TOO. IS THAN ANYWAY TO LOSE IT QUICKER THAAN RUNNING,DRINKING A LOT OF WATER AND ALL THAT GOOD STUFF. I MEAN YEAH I KNOW I HAVE TO DO ALL THAT BUT IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO? NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET.

Its good that you're willing to work to be healthy. But I have to tell you, you're reallyyy barely overweight. I've calculated your BMI (Body Mass Index) and it came out to 25.8. Your BMI is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women. If your BMI is below 18.5, you are considered underweight. If it is 18.5 - 24.9 you are considered normal weight. If it is 25 to 29.9 then you are considered overweight. And if it is over 30 you are considered obese, which is a really dangerous condition to be in. As you can see, you are barely overweight. If you lost only 10 lbs, your BMI would be 24.4 which is perfect! If you lost 50 lbs, your BMI would be 19.0 which is very close to underweight. You do not need to lose even close to that much weight to be healthy. Your brother may be annoying, but he doesn't know what's best for you. And if you are healthy, he has nothing to tease you about.
As far as how to lose the weight quickly, I know you probably have heard this time and time again, but it takes hard work and determination. I have struggled from anorexia for the past 3 years, and let me tell you, it is NOT a good approach at all. Not saying I thought that's where you were headed, but just please don't go there. The key is to take in the right number and TYPE of calories. I calculated that to maintain your current weight you need to take in about 2570 calories per day. Therefore, if you only take in 2000 per day, then after a week you will have burned 3500, which is one pound of fat. I know its tempting but it is unwise to restrict your calories much farther than that or you will screw up your metabolism and that is one big mess! I think I could probably go on forever about this because I have a lot of knowledge on the topic. But I'm going to stop here. I hope I helped. I have to lose 50 lbs also. I'm 16 years old. The thing is, when I started trying to lose weight, I had the same way of thinking like you do. I thought "I WANT TO LOSE IT ALL RIGHT AWAY AND LOOK GREAT." Well, I went from 186 lbs down to 159 lbs in just under three months. I looked awesome, but I was really unhappy, and I missed eating SO much. I was depressed all the time, because I felt like although everybody else was happy with how I looked, I wasn't happy with how deprived I felt. So, being depressed, I gave up. I gained all the weight I lost back, and then some more. Right now, I'm ashamed to be 200 lbs. But, I've lost 10 lbs in the past few months, and I do feel a little better. I've been working out for 20 minutes 4 x a week on the elliptical, only eating when I am hungry and stopping when I am full, getting my 8 cups of water a day and some green tea, and 8 hours of sleep a night. 10 lbs is better than nothing right? And I'm still losing weight. At this rate, I could be 150 lbs by Christmas! And I'd much rather do it slowly and keep it off this time. You don't want to rush into anything, no matter what. There is no short term fix really. Yea drinking lots of water and running will help. Make sure you eat healthy too. 90% of maintaining a healthy body/getting in shape is "FOOD." what you put into your body will change everything. if u have any questions let me know

Start drinking a friut juice like naked juice in th morning with a granola bar to eat. for lunch think of salads, salads can be very creative so have fun and eat a bunch of different kinds with a slim-fast. eat a supper full of protein and whole grains and bright veggies.

You're only 16, your body is still growing. Instead of going on a diet, try to increase exercise - give your body a chance to try different types of activities and for you to discover what your body can do. Do everything - biking, swimming, running, racket sports, water sports, rock climbing, even yoga and core strengthening exercises. Not only will you be moving more, burning calories, you'll also learn how powerful your body can be and appreciate it more.

Nutrition-wise, you already know vegetables and fruits are good, so is lean protein. Unless your body has problem absorbing nutrients from food, you don't need extra supplements.

You're only 16, you have many more years ahead of you, don't over-stress your body with fast fix diets and pills. Patience will get you a strong lean body, and a stronger mind.

Okay. Your brother must be a real gerk to tell you your a pig. He should be supporting you. Not hurting you more. And you are not even fat you are about average. You may be a little overweight but you should be doing just fine. And you dont want to lose much weight in a quick time, it is not very healthy. Okay you might be tired of hearing this but you really should just do the normal. Exercize, healthy food, lots of water, and a good amount of sleep, (that always helps lose weight, normal sleep.) ect.

I know it is very common to hear that, but that is the way to do it. Plus you are still groing. Keep active, do alot of sports, get out of the house and be active! you will lose it. I promise. That is how i lost the 45lbs. i did. I have faith in you now have faith in yourself.

I lost 90lbs DOING the following in VERY fast time:

-I eat EVERY 3 hours (seriously....3 HOURS)

-I mean smoothies consisting of frozen fruit + 1 scoop HEALTHY protein Powder + skim milk (Optimum nutrition has good protein also Percision)

-I do resistance training combined with skipping (omg I sweat SOOOOO much and makes me lose fat SOOO fast because I build musicle but also skipping is hardecore inbetween sets)

-I BIKE EVERYWHERE...I bike to parties...to the bar...to the gym....my bike is MY vehicle....its awesome for your mind and your body

-Green tea (this is ups your metabolic rate and gives you GREAT skin...don't drink too much though or you will cause bad side effects due to caffiene)

I don't eat crappy foods very often...

and I also don't drink alcohol + do drugs..those things MAKE you fat and they INCREASE Apeitite thus giving you more body fat....

you NEED to eat small meals every 3 hours consisting of protein, good fats and lot's of veggies!!!!

Do it the hard way Diet and exersize

i listend to my brother and other people saying that im fat
but in a good way i know there just saying i was fat.
i work out prolly atleast 1 hour in the morning
