Yes, you can solve this by multiplication. Hence, by multiplying both sides by 11, you obtain:
-44x > 1
x > -1/44 or 1/(-44)

Solving by multiplication?
-4x > 1/11
first, divide both side by 4; you get 1/44. However, for this special case of inequality equation, you divide a negative number (-4) as a result the inequality sign changes also.

Answer is x < -1/44

Hope it helps. W.

-4x>1/11 |*(-1) multiply both sides with -1 (> changes to <)
4x<-(1/11) |/4 divide both sides by 4
x<-(1/44) [or -1/44 or 1/-44]

x<1/-44
