Is Global warming really happening?

some place in the earth got hotter and hotter, but there is some place getting colder and colder. the north pole is actually moving south, and it happen because of nature, will that be the cause of "global warming". Is that just a lie that give out by the government, and make us stop buying gas or less gas?

I really don't trust global warming. If you guys can convince me.
更新1:

I didn't mean global warming is not happening but is that really cost by human or the nature, since the north pole(what i mean is the magnetic axes, and those are propably the reason for the last ice age, which coz the dinosour all dead) is moving south the global warming could be cost by that instead of CO2 or some bull like that.

Global Warming was first brought out in the late 1980's. Long before the gas crunch.

Both ice caps are melting at an accelerated pace. At current CO2 levels, there will be no arctic ice at all in the summertime by the year 2015.

In the antarctic, there is a huge ice shelf about to break away, that has been rock solid for eons. Imagine a berg about the size of Texas.

Both, is a lot of fresh water screwing up the salination levels of the oceans, and thus, the currents, and thus the weather.

Polar Bears are on the brink of extinction because large areas of ice are melting... they have to swim for miles and miles to look for somewhere to rest, and they can't find anything. So they drown. That's enough evidence for me...

yes it is. antarctica used to be really big but now its melting and getting smaller. nd notice how on winter, it is always hot n theres less snow? thats because of global warming. i dont understand why they shudnt start banning gas and making safe-use of cars instead.. start planting trees and think of ways to help stop pollution. its really easy n fun. u get exercise too. one person can make a whole world a dfrnce

There is clear evidence that global warming is being accelerated by human activities. The main evidence is in carbon isotope ratios. Carbon compounds are produced naturally and there is a constant ratio of carbon-12 to carbon-14. Carbon compounds (monoxide and dioxide mostly) that are produced via the burning of fossil fuels have a different ratio of carbon isotopes.
Scientists have analyzed the ratio of the isotopes in the additional carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and determined that the ratio matches the ratio found when fossil fuels are burned. The CO2 levels in the atmosphere right now are higher than they have been in at least 700,000 years. This is not a solar cycle thing or a natural variation. It is humans and we have to get over our conceit and do something about it. It's funny how nobody cares about science until there is the potential of a natural disaster and then everybody expects scientists to fix it. Where were those people when it came time to give college scholarships to science majors or to require that science be taught in elementary school???

Well according to the an Australian newspaper global warming has stopped. Article is named "Climate Facts to Warm to" from the Australian. If the leader of the IPCC really said what he is quoted as saying, then I find it hard to believe that Global Warming is really as cut and dry as more CO2 = higher temperatures. I think the issue is much more complicated than that. I also like to repeatedly point out that the actual number of scientists that support the quotes of Al Gore and other Global Warming enthusiasts is grossly over reported. If you visit the web sites of multiple places you will see that there are no huge list of Climatologists that support their facts. The only way to accurately record worldwide temperatures is to the use satellites.
Land based temperature readings can be changed due to urbanization, or changes in land management. The satellites are saying that the sun goes through cycles (11 and 22 years) and these impact the environment.
As just a observer, no scientist with any integrity can stand up and say Man has caused a temperature raise of any set amount. The atmosphere is too big there are too many variables that we don't even know about.
For example a raise in temperatures should cause more evaporation, which should cause more clouds to form, which should lower temperatures. Another one, Methane is a much stronger Global Warming gas (22x as much as CO2 , I think not sure but should be easy to search). Uptil a few years ago scientists believed that methane production was only a certain level, by comparing the amount of known methane in atmosphere and finding enough producers (natural and man made) to make the methane. Suddenly, a new study finds that growing plants release more methane than all the other sources combined, where does it go?
nobody knows: but supposedly we KNOW that man created global warming.
I am not saying that man has not influenced the earth or it's atmosphere, what I am saying is that we don't know and that should not decide to ruin the economies of the entire world by
instituting the plans of the global warming enthusiast.

If we melted the glaciers in the last 100 years with our CO2, then what melted the Glaciers that covered north America and Europe? And why would it stop at only melting the glaciers to a certain point 100 years ago?

Populations of Polar Bears are fine, they are not rare, but were put on the list as a precaution, not because they need protection now, that is why it was a big story.

Global warming is definitely happening.
Its just not clear weather it is natural or if it is being caused by us.

You are confused and ignorant. Fortunately, both conditions are curable, but you have to do some serious learning in order to do so.
The last Ice Ages are less than 100,000 years in the past. The dinosaurs became extinct 65,000,000 years ago. The one has AbZero to do with the other.
Climate change is happening. Its a reasonable scientific hypothesis that the increase of gases that trap heat and that human industrial activity has been spewing for over 100 years now is at least a partial cause of this.
The evidence as to the warmings in the arctic and antarctic regions is even greater than anywhere else. State sized ice sheets have been breaking off from the Antarctic ice mass, and the Arctic Sea is becoming more and more navigable to shipping, because the ice is receeding very, very briskly.
Moreover, since this data goes back decades and centuries, it has zilch to do with politics or fuel costs. On that point, since China and India are using more and more oil, theres more demand, while the supply is falling. People in the 1st World SHOULD learn to be far more fuel efficient. Because fossil fuels are not infinite in supply.
