Well, your first indicator as to why you can't sleep is that you haven't been active. Most especially if you usually get some form of exercise during the day, your body will remain in a holding pattern. Of course, a quick jog with hype you up at first, but after a bit, you should wind down enough to sleep. If you regularly experience insomnia that isn't responsive to exercise or any of the traditional remedies...try progressive muscle relaxation or meditation.
