At the network connection window, right click on the Local Area Connection icon, and then select Properties.
A Local Area Connection Properties window will come up, now under the line that say "This connection uses the following items", there is a scroll bar and give you a list of options. Scroll to the bottom and find "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)".
Highline it and then click on the Properties button.
The settings vary here depend on the way your computer get the IP address from the router. Basically, there is two way you can setup the setting here. One is getting the IP address automatically from the router, and the other way is setup the IP address manually. It really depends on how your admin are setting these options, I recommended that you should have to look at the options they have setup for you and use those options.
Ok, if they have setup your computer to get the IP address from your router, then choose the "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" option. If they have setup the IP address manually, then choose the "Use the following IP address" and "Use the following DNS server addresses" and then enter the IP address to the fields that have opened up.
