why west rail line must make a new station (NAC ) or change tung chun line but why WRL not make bigger off lai king station for change tung chun line?
lai king is more people than NAC .. right?
IF WRL set up a station in lai king,that can kick the mei foo station and NAC station .thats iis cheaper and increase the people for using WRL.

為了方便乘客由西鐵線轉乘東涌綫前往香港島及大嶼山,所以在西鐵線起南昌站時,同時於東涌綫設站方便乘客轉乘。
之所以西鐵線無在荔景站設站轉乘,是因為在由於香港機場核心計劃時,東涌綫於此站與荃灣線交會轉乘設站後,以無多餘的空間擴建給西鐵線。
荔景站應該人多過南昌站,因為南昌站的土地是在香港機場核心計劃時起的填海區,在加上此站位置偏離原有的發展地帶並且於此站落車的乘客須倚靠接駁交通前往各區,所以南昌站人口少過荔景站。
如果西鐵線可以在荔景站起站,會變成從新界西的乘客和荃灣線以北的乘客流量加重荔景站的負擔使得往香港島的乘客大量增加東涌綫的流量使得路線流量且無法負荷與平衡。

因為西鐵線如果把美孚和南昌站剔除掉 會使得東涌綫成為由荔景站往香港島的最快路線 使得一些利用荃灣線往香港島的乘客過度集中東涌綫

除了上述的乘客 西鐵線的乘客也會轉乘時改用東涌線到香港島 使得荃灣線乘客流量衰退

There are a lot of concern, some of them like the area consumed is already draw a big problem.

Since you can see that there are already no much place in Lai King to build another platform. Moreover, more facilities is needed for the new platform build. Thus, I think there is totaly not enough places already.
