7/x = 5/9

7*9 = 5*x

63 = 5x
63/5 = x
12,6 = x

You have to do cross multiplication. 7*9 = 63. So 63 has to equal 5*x. So 5x=63. To get X by itself divide by 5 and your answer then is 63/5, or 12.6
