They are already in their simplest forms.

Unless you're talking about mixed numbers, which is:

-1 1/13 or -1-(1/13)
and
1 1/8 or 1(1/8) negatives cancel

1)
12/-13
= -12/13

2)
-9/-8
= 9/8
= 1 1/8

the negative sign in a fraction can be moved right outside the fraction. Remember two negatives gecome a positive.
That' all folks !!!!!
12/-13 = - 12/13
-9/-8 = + 9/8
= 1 1/8

12 / (-13) = - 12 / 13

- 9 / - 8 = [ (-1) (9) ] / [ (-1) (8) ] = 9 / 8

If a negative is on the bottom, you automatically move the subtraction symbol to the top. 12/-13=-12/13

If there is both a subtraction symbol on the top and the bottom, they cancel. -9/-8=9/8=1 1/8

12/-13 is 12/-13

-9/-8 is 1 1/8

12/-13 is the same as -12/13 which cannot be simplified as its in its simplest form. same goes for the -9/-8 which equal to 9/8 since the two negatives equal a positive

12/-13 is just negative no matter wht, even if it was -12/13.

-9/-8 becomes 9/8 because two negatives always make a positive.

If the numerator is positive and the denominator is negative, the fraction itself is negative. The case is the same if the numerator is negative and the denominator is positive.

If both the numerator and denominator are both negative (or, both positive), the fraction itself will be positive.

12/-13 = - 12/13

-9/-8 = 9/8.

they can't be simplified... except -9/-8 would technically be 9/8 because the negatives cancel out
