The past continuous tense-過去繼續式

key word：when、while.

例句：I was doing my homework when the telephone rang.

當電話響起時，我在做功課.



The present continuous tense-現在進行式

key word：now、at present、at the moment、listen、look.

例句：I am doing homework now.

我正在做功課.



The present perfect tense-現在完成式

key word：already、yet、just、since、for、before

例句：I have been to Ocean Park before.

我以前曾經去過海洋公園.



The past perfect tense-過去完成式

key word：had+過去分詞

例句：The patient had died before the doctor came.

在醫生到達前，那個病人已經死去.



The future tense-未來式

key：will、shall、is+am+are going to+動詞

例句：I shall visit my aunt next Saturday.

我將會下週末探望伯母.

was, were, is, am, are

e.g.

past continuous: was/were running
present continuous: is/am/are jumping
present perfect: has/have broken
past perfect : had chosen

Future Tense將來式
"Future Tense"一定有'will'，放狠verb前面(加埋其實都係verb)。通常有'tomorrow' 'next...' 'in the future'等等。

例句(1)：
I will have an exam tomorrow.
明天，我將會有一個考試。

呢句用o左'will'同埋'tomorrow'(明天)，即係唔係宜家，而係將來會發生o既事，所以用Future Tense.

例句(2):
I will go to the party next Sunday.
我將會於下週日去一個派對。

呢句用o左'next Sunday'(下週日)，將來會發生o既事，所以用Future
Tense.

例句(3):
Jane will become a vet in the future.
Jane將來會成為一個獸醫。

呢句用o左'in the future'，詞組入面o既'future'表示將來，明顯係Future Tense.


Present Continus Tense現在進行式
"Present Continus Tense" o既verb前面要加is/am/are，本身個verb就要加 -ing，有「正在」o既意思。(可有'now')

例句(1):
I am doing my homework.
我正在做功課。

呢句verb 'am doing'係有-ing，所以係Present Continus Tense.

例向(2):
We are playing football.
我們正在玩足球。

呢句verb 'are playing'係有-ing，所以係Present Continus Tense.


Gerunds:
"Gerunds"通常狠'for' 'hate' 'like'等verb(動詞)後面，如果再有多一個 verb,果個verb就要+ing.

例句(1)：
I want to thanks for teaching me.
我想謝謝你教導我。

呢句 'for'後面o既verb要加+ing，所以用"for teaching".

例句(2):
I hate getting up early.
我憎早起牀。

呢句 'hate'(係verb)後面o既verb要加+ing，所以用"hate getting".(getting要用兩個 't')

例句(3):
I enjoy sitting on the floor.
呢句 'enjoy'(係verb)後面o既verb要加+ing，所以用"enjoy sitting".(sitting要用兩個 't')

Simple present tense : always, only, never, ever, still, just

Simple past tense:for two years, for five minutes, all day, all year,two years ago

Present Perfect: ever, never, once, many times, several times, before, so far, already, yet

Simple Future: tomorrow,next month
