How to play MPEG4 File on PS3

I have some MPEG4 file but when I play on PS3 it said not support, do I need to change to another format and How? Thank you

To my understanding, PS3 can play mpeg4 file unless it has playback restriction or encoded by special system. Please refer to the following webpage for more information:-
