Well, if it's a cube, all edges are EQUAL. Also, a cube has 6 square faces so find the area of one face and multiply by 6:

10 * 10 = 100

6 * 100 = 600

600cm²

6(10 x 10)
= 6(100)
= 600 square centimeters

6 x (10 x 10) cm² = 600 cm²

each edge is 10cm so the area of each surface is 10*10 = 100 square cms

since there are 6 surfaces in a cube the area of the 6 are 100 * 6 = 600

general formula for the surface area of a cube is SA=6l^2 where l is the length of each side...

Surface area is just the area of every face (or side) of an object added together.

The cube has six sides of equal area, so first find the area of one side (Length*Width)

Every edge is 10 cm, so there's your length and width.

10*10 = 100

That's only one of six sides, though, so multiply it by 6 to get the full surface area.

100*6 = 600 cm^2

Total are = 6 * L * L = 6 * 10 *10 = 600 (cm^2)
