You should use a slash to represent division. You could also use Alt+0247 (÷, you have to use the number pad, not the numbers above the letters), but a slash is easier and more common in typing. You should also use parentheses with radicals (sqrt(36/225), or sqrt(36)/225, depending on what you meant). In this, you can't tell if /225 is in the radical or not. I'm going to assume it is.
sqrt(36/225) #split numbers into perfect squares
sqrt((9*4)/(9*25)) #evaluate roots, keeping numerator/
.......................#denominator status
3*sqrt(4/(9*25)) #substitute one as numerator
3*2*sqrt(1/(9*25))
3*2*sqrt(1/25)/3
3*2*sqrt(1)/3/5 #simplify
3*2*1/(3*5)
6/15
2/5
.4
â(36/225) = 6/15 (take the square roots of both halves).
If the problem is (â36) / 225, then only the top half gets the sqaure root, being:
6/225, which reduces to 2/75, which isn't one of your answers. So that's why I think you really meant what I have above (paraenthesis is essential to properly show what your question is)
