Hi,

A good way to do this problem is notice that the bases are both the same in this expression. Therefore, when the bases are the same, we can therefore add the exponents to get the following:

5 ^ 2 x 5 ^ 4 = 5 ^ 6 (C)

I hope that helps you out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

C. 5^6 is the answer
--------
Ideas: Add the exponentials since you have the same base.

5^2 x 5^4
= 5^(2 + 4)
= 5^6
(answer C)

25 x 625 = 15625

The answer is c.

The real way to do this, since the "base number" is constant (5) without a calculator is to add the powers- 2+4 =6, so 5^6.

5^2 x 5^4
= 5^(2+4)
=5^6

So C, is the answer.

When you have the same base for both factors (as you do in this case, the base is 5), you just add the exponents. So the answer is 5^(4+2) or 5^6.

5^6 is OPTION C

5^ 2 = 25
5^4 = 625
25 x 625 = 15625
15625 = 5^6

Answer: 5^6
