Looking into getting a laptop, already asked a similar question.
Both laptop is the same apart from one on Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 1.67GHz and the other on AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 2GHz.
Apart from day - to day work, excel and internet. Will mainly be using photoshop CS3 to edit photos, not just cutting but processing RAW format etc....
Which will be better?

The AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 would save you a bit of money- but in terms of speed the Core 2 Duo T5450 is faster. If you're looking for performance, go with the C2D build.The Turion 64 X2 TL-60 barely edges the Core 2 Duo T2500, and the T5450 is a few steps up the food chain.

I am an AMD fan all the way, but right now Intel has the better CPU for laptops. I would go with Intel for a laptop; at least for now.

This is personal preference really. Both chips are good. When I build, I prefer AMD, simply because their prices are less and, probably the most important to me, it keeps Intel's prices lower. Competition is a good thing!

Well, normally the AMD chips are cheaper when buying a laptop, and since you aren't doing anything serious, I would go that route.

AMD is better for running single applications faster. Like if you are using photoshop cs3 only, then maybe AMD would work. But if you are working in excel, on the internet, in photoshop, all at the same time, Intel is better for multitasking.
