rotary printing : a printing press in which the images to be printed are curved around a cylinder. Printing can be done on large number of substrates paper, cardboard, plastic. Substrates can be sheet feed or unwound on a continuous roll through the press to be printed and further modified if required (die cut, overprint varnish, embossing).
thermal printing : produces a printed image by selectively heating coated thermochromic paper, or thermal paper as it is commonly known, when the paper passes over the thermal print head. The coating turns black in the areas where it is heated, producing an image. Two-color direct thermal printers are capable of printing both black and an additional color (often red), by applying heat at two different temperatures.
hot stamp printing : a dry printing process, which uses controlled heat, pressure, and precision timing to transfer a color pigment from foil to surfaces of varied shapes and materials. This process forms a permanent bond between the part and the foil, and creates a dry print. The advantages of hot stamping include increased productivity, multiple colors in one step, and a variety of available materials and finishes.
