12(1/6) + 12(d/4) + 5d = 0

2 + 3d + 5d = 0

2 + 8d = 0

2 = -8d

2/-8 = d

-1/4 = d

12(1/6 + d/4) + 5d
= 2 + 3d + 5d
= 2 + 8d

Is it (a million+5d)/10 or a million+(5d/10)? that's the two p=(a million+5d)/10 10p=a million+5d 10p-a million=5d (10p-a million)/5=d 2p-(a million/5)=d Or that's p=a million+(5d/10) p-a million=5d/10 10(p-a million)=5d 10p-10=5d (10p-10)/5=d 2p-2=d in case you basically have 2 variables on your equation and no squared, cubed, rooted etc. words, you purely positioned it into the style y=mx+c and draw a graph of that. working example d=2p-2 y=mx+c The y axis is d, the x axis is p. you have a as we communicate line graph of gradient 2, shifted 2 down on the y axis.

The word "solve" implies that there should be an = sign somewhere.
There is no = sign here so what you have is an expression that has to be simplified.
2 + 3d + 5d
2 + 8d

12(1/6 + d/4) = 5d
12*1/6 + 12*d/4 = 5d
12/6 + 12d/4 = 5d
2 + 3d = 5d
-5d + 3d = -2
-2d = -2
d = -2/-2
d = 1

2+3d+5d
2+8d

12(1/6 + d/4)+ 5d

= 12(1/6) + 12(d/4) + 5d
= 2 + 3d + 5d
= 2 + 8d

THIS IS THE REAL ANSWER =P

U'll hav to multiply twelve by everything in the bracket:

12(1/6) + 12(d/4)+5d

12/6 + 12d/4 + 5d

2 + 3d + 5d

Ans = 2+8d

Thats the answer...u can't add two unlike terms so it has to remain as it is.

There's nothing to solve, it's not an equation.

if u use the distributive prop. then u get 12/6 + 12d/4 + 5d
that equals 2+3d+5d, which equals 2+8d
hope i helped :)
