On the Stork Tower
The sun beyond the mountains glows
The Yello river seaward flows
You can enjoy a grander sight
By climing to a better height

Try to translate your vernacular version:

I climbed the Stork Tower, and found the sun sinking beyond the mountains.

I also saw the great Yellow River running to the sea.

To see the landscape that lays thousands of miles away,

I think I must climb up to a higher point to get a glimpse of the sight.

While I walked up the Stork Tower, the sunset was fading at the back of the mountain. The Yellow River was tremendously flowing, until to the sea far away. If you want to have a better place for viewing the scenery, you have to walk up to the top of the tower that you can make it.

The first time to translate a poem, it is only translated by the meaning, may not be good!
