How about like that:

With the high technology of today, there is no obstacles anymore for us to get together, to chat and see the family and friends through the Internet, web cam, MSN, skype, mobile etc., even though we are living apart or we do not have spare time to see each other during the traditional holidays and the festive seasons.

In today's highly advanced technological world, ever though we may not be able to get together with our friends and families during the holidays; we can utilize other methods such as telephone and internet to stay in touch.

Due to the advance in Technology nowadays, even though we can't meet with our friends and families in special holidays, we can still make use of other technological channels, such as telephone and the Internet.
