Every day, in Hong Kong,over 11 million passenger journeys are made on a public transport system which includes two high capacity railways, trams, buses, minibuses, taxis and ferries.

First, minibusei a main transportation In Hing Kong.Red minibuses are free to operate anywhere, without control over routes or fares. In year 2007, RMBs carried about 415,000 passengers daily.

There are more than 322 bus routes in Kowloon the New Territories and there are even routes on cross-harbour services. In 2007, the total licensed fleet carried 2.76 million passengers a day.

Besides buses and minibuses,there are now 11 ferry operators providing 26 regular licensed passenger ferry services to outlying islands and across the Harbour as at 1 April 2008. In 2007, ferry passengers amounted to 54 million.

Electric trams have been operating on Hong Kong Island since 1904, The Hongkong Tramways Limited operates six overlapping routes on 13 kilometres of double track on Hong Kong Island.

There are mainly 4 modes of transportation in Hong Kong. They are sea, road , air, railway. These transportation vehicles make our life as HK people very each because we can use them in low prices. These vehicles are also very fast and safe to take us to the places we want to go. As HK people, we are very lucky to enjoy the transportation we have.
