When putting a red litmus paper into the container with sodium piece and water, What will be the result of the red litmus paper?

the red litmus paper will turn blue.sodium react with water to form sodium hydroxide and
hydrogen. sodium hydroxide is alkaline. so it turns red litmus
paper blue.
(sodium oxide or sodium hydroxide do not have bleaching
action. so paper will not change to white)
