2(x+y)-3x=4 -----(1)3(x-y)-7y=8 -----(2)
from (1), 2x+2y-3x=4
2y-x=4
x=2y-4 -----(3)
from (2), 3x-3y-7y =8
3x -10y = 8
sub (3) into it, 3(2y-4)-10y =8
6y-12-10y=8
-4y=20
y = -5
sub y=-5 into (3), x = 2(-5)-4
x = -10-4
x = -14
x = -14, y = -5
