應如何分別-學位

top up degree是銜接學位, 對象是副學士及高級文憑畢業生. 由於海外大學不能在香港建校開課, 所以top-up degree多數由本港院校(並非大學, 只是大學的社區學院/校外進修部)與外國大學合辦, 讀1-2年就畢業. 證書會由外地大學頒發, 與本地大學所頒的證書不同.
degree只是某幾類課程總稱, 其實幾類課程級別會用degree這個字, 例如副學士(associate degree)、學士學位(bachelor degree)、銜接學位(top up degree)、碩士學位(master degree)、博士(doctoral degree), 有些學位會再細分全日制及兼讀制.
Bachelor degree是學士學位, 學歷比中七、高級文憑和副學士高. Bachelor degree有很多不同的科目種類. 例如: BA代表文學士、BSc代表理學士、BBA代表工商管理學士、BEng代表工學士、BEd代表教育學士...之後每個種類的學士會再細分各主修範疇. 例如: BBA包括會計、環球商業、工商管理綜合、計量金融 (科大是理學士)、人力資源、電子商貿、財務、管理學、市場學、資訊系統、經濟 (中大是社會科學學士)...

top-up degree means final year(the last 1 to 1.5 yrs of you degree program)
You will be studying the most professional subject in your major.就系 degree 最後 學士學位一件的課程.. 在香港..大部份(約九成以上)的top-up degree呢..都是由海外大學所頒發..由於海外大學不能在香港建校開課.. In the final year, you will be studying all the most difficult subjects in your field. For example, if you are finance major, all your classes will have at least one project and presentation. More in-depth classes such as strategic financial maangament, investments, portfolio management., etc
所以在香港會伙拍不同機構開班授課..你會在很多雜誌, 報章上見到很多不同的廣告..海外大學的top-degree..都會是來自英國, 美國, 澳洲..也有少數是來自加拿大, 紐西蘭, 中國內地.. 當學生畢業後..那張證書是由當地寄來香港的..
理當就是與當地的學生那張一模一樣的..

近年..香港的大學也有推出類似的top-up degree課程..但不多..你要小心留意..那課程是不是由本地大學所開..但speed, space, scope..這一些學院..並不是本地大學..
這些都是本地大學的社區學院/校外進修部..沒有資格頒發學位的..所以你要留心這一點..

通常top-up degree都是要有一定學歷才可報讀..因為是最後一年的課程..所以都會入學人任.持有high dip, ass degree or dip..不同院校會有些少出入的.. Some programs, like accounting , finance, etc, you must have a foundation before. Others, like management, you can study its top-up (even if you have no management studies background before)


For example, speed 同 poly u呢..可以話系兩所不同的學校..所以..top-up degree的證書..有機會是不一樣的..如果是伙拍海外大學開辦的話..那degree的證書..
就會由海外大學頒發..跟poly u沒有任何關系..
