F.3 phy,,why do we feel cooler?

In winter , you may notice that your bedroom feels cooler when a heavy wind blows outdoors even all thw windows are shut. Bridfly explain the phenomenon.

This is a result of conduction. And conduction is transfer of heat which result from different in heat(kinetic energy). In winter, temp. indoors is greater than that in outdoors, so heat is continuously losing to the surroundings though conductors, say walls, windows, doors, etc. With heavy wind blows which drives away air near the house and increase the rate of heat transfer from indoors to outdoors.

This is because of heat loss by [forced convection]. The wind carries the heat energy away from the outer surface of the room wall, thus lowering its temperature. This is the reason why you would feel cold insider the room because the temperature of the wall is lower than if no winfd is blowing.
