hi....
1) if u take the UK passport, u will be UK citizen, that means u have the right to get the UK benefits. however it is not equal that u lose another citizenships, it depends the law of UK or other countries. e.g. USA can accept dual-citizenship on its citizen, that means US citizens can obtain/keep many countries passport/citizenship.
2) some countries cannot accept dual-citizenship, e.g. China; once u get aother countries passport/citizenship, u have to give up the China citizenship, but u still can keep the HKID card (HK Permanent Residential card) as ur visa to enter/leave HK.
