a lot of既意思即係好多，係countable同uncountable既名詞都用得。
Nancy has a lot of pen.
Nancy有很多原子筆。
Lucy spent a lot of money to buy that teapot.
Lucy用了很多錢去買那個茶壺。

a little of既意思就係好少，一定要用係uncountable既名詞。
如果唔用of都得，即係a little。
The people in Si Chuan only have a little food to eat.
四川的人只有一點點食物吃。

more則是指比較多，是many的比較級(comparative)，即第二級。
可用於countable和uncountable的名詞也可，通常後面有than。
I have more pencils than you.
我擁有的鉛筆比你多。
Nancy has more water to drink than Lucy.
Nancy可以喝的水比Lucy多。

a lot of 是在有大量所指的東西時用的，而 a little (不是 a little of )是在數量少而是數不到的東西時用的，more 則是在多過的意思。
