A pendulum 90cm long swings through an angle of 11ﾞ on each side of the vertical.How does the centre of the bobof the pendulum rise above its lowest point when the pendulum swings to lits highest position?

如圖,其實即是要找x的數值
x cm + y cm = 90 cm
x + y = 90
cos 11 = y/90
y = 90 cos 11
∴x + 90 cos 11 = 90
x = 90 - 90 cos 11
x = 1.65 , cor. to 3 sig. fig.
∴the centre of the bobof rises 1.65 cm
