For all Chinese proverbs we should not translate it directly. We should get the meaning of it and put it in English.
悔不當初 :
Regret for not doing (something) correctly.
Regret for doing (something) wrongly.

後悔莫及
Now it is too late to regret !
Regretting now cannot help changing (something / some happenings)

當之無愧
Have no hesitation in accepting the honour.
No better choice than having him/her be (in a position / with a fame)
