This moive is about a young and smart banker named Andy (acted by Tim Robins) was charged for murdering his wife for life prison but actually he was innocent.

After then, you met the big guy, Red (acted by Morgan Freeman) and they became good friend. Red tried so many times for the probation release but failed and he has to spend the rest of his life in the prison. But Andy truly believed that he will be free one day. As Andy is a very nowledgeable and smart guy, he used his intelligent to help the prison guards and polices to get away from tax payer and helped them in corruption, and also fought for the benefit for all other prisoners.

He stayed in the prison for twenty years, finally in one heavy rainstorm night, he escaped from the prison. You probably wondering how he can get out from that prison. I am not going to tell you now. You have to watch the whole moive in order to get this excellent plot. The director of this movie has an excellent plot of the whole story, you have to watch the movie till the end in order to understand it.

I would like to introduce the story plot of the film first. Andy (Tim Robbins), a young and successful banker who is innocent, is accused of murdering his wife and is sentenced to life imprisonment.

Afterwards Andy meet Red (Morgan Freeman) and they become good friends. Red is a black marketeer and is influential in the prison, he fails to applies for releasing him for probation. Red thinks he is bound to spend his lifetime in the prison. However, Andy does not think it is meant to be and he believes he can be set free someday. He helps his jailers get out of the prison and defalcate. Also, Andy press for more welfare in prison.

Over twenty years later, Andy manages to escape from the prison at last under a heavy rainstorm.

You may wonder why he can get out from the rigorous jail. I am not going to tell you here. It would be much better if you can know it by watching the film. You will discover that the plot is very good. The photography of the director is worth appreciating, many things of the film have been arranged before screening. You need to thoroughly watch the movie and you will understand the story.
