VAV handling unit advantages:

1. energy saving ( control the fan motor - volume flow rate )
2. relocated very easy ( add the vav box or dismantle the vav box )
3. good control of each zone temperature and air volume flow rate.

VAV disadvantages:

1. high initial cost
2. high maintenance cost.
