Germany lost all their colonies to Britain,France etc.
All wartime gunships, ammo were melted into scrap metal
The German navy couldn't have more than 36 ships
Germany wasn't allowed an Air force
Germany couldn't make an alliance with Austria ever again
Germany had to take the blame for the war
The Germans had to pay the allies 6600 million pounds worth of reparations for losses (that was a lot of money back then)
Britain controlled the rest of Germanys fleet( but when the terms came through the German crew destroyed their ships on purpose)
Alsace- Lorraine was given back to France
The Saar( A huge german coalfield) was given to France for fifteen years

Thats pretty much everything

Ok so after ww1 the treaty of versailles was put in place to put military and territorial restrictions on Germany. They first violated it when Hitler started to build an army. The rest of the European countries were trying to use appeasement to avoid another war. Then Hitler started to take all the land back that he felt he lost to create the ultimate german empire. That's how Germany defied the treaty.

they restricted their army to 10,000 men. only allowed 6 battleships, no submarines and no air force. The rhine-land was a de-militiraised zone.
They did this because they were afraid of the German was machine attacking again. France especially remembered the Franco-Prussian war of 1871 where they had lost Alsace-Lorraine and never wanted to be attacked again by Germany. In both cases (1871 and WW1) France had had its entire East regions completely damaged causing millions of francs of repairs.
No one wanted another Great War to occur again. It was the War to End All Wars. They wanted peace and therefore blamed Germany for the War and as a result placed huge limits on their military power.

Germany wasn't allowed an army in the Rhineland, their troops couldn't exceed 10,000 (I think) and they weren't allowed an air force.
The victorious countries ( England, France etc.) wanted to limit Germany's power to stop what happened happen again. They wanted revenge as they had suffered so greatly in the war.

The treaty banned the Luftwaffe (Airforce) the Kreigsmarine was reduced to a couple of Pre Dreadnaught vessels and a handful of light cruisers and destroyers, banned from any submarine development or contsruction, the Army was restricted to 100,000 men used for Home and Internal defence only, the German Military Colleges and High Command was closed down and disbanded. Research into any offensive Military Hardware (including Mehinisation, Chemical and Bilological, etc) was banned. This was all to be controlled by observers from the 4 powers.
The reason fro all this was Germany had become an agressor state from the 1870's onwards, they had invaded a number of countries in Mainland Europe and established a nasty reputation for themselves, the First World War finally was the tip in the balance and although the British and American delegates really wanted a more lasting peace and favoured a more sympathetic and generous peace to the Germans, the French who were more vocal and demanding desired a much stronger destruction and dismemberment of the German Nation.

Well for starters, it forced the Rhineland to be a completelydemilitarized zone, it forced Germany to restrict the number of armed forces to 100,000, the import and export of weapons was prohibited, tanks and submarines were prohibited, they weren't allowed to have a draft, and they [rohibited artillery and blockades of ports. I'm pretty sure they also phohibited stockpiling and manufacturing poison gas. Hope this helps.
