6 to the power of 0 is 1 (anything to the power of 0 is 1)
6 to the power of 1 is 6 (anything to the power of 1 is itself)

6^0=1
6^1=6

6 to the power of 0 = 1 because if any number has the power 0 then the answer is 1
6 to the power of 1 = 6 because any number to the power 1 is the number itself

How it was derived:

N x N x N x N = N to the power of 4. = N^4

N x N x N = N to the power of 3. = N^3

N^4 / N^3 = N^(4-3) = N^1 = N

N^4 / N^4 = N^(4-4) = N^0 = 1

So applying this into your question.

6^1 = 6
6^0 = 1
