Reading takes up a big part in learning. Therefore, promoting reading in children is one first important step. To encourage children to read, we should pick more action and adventure packed stories to keep them attracted to the book and be willing to complete them. Most children may be reluctant to even pick up a book to start to read. Another criteria for the choice of fiction books would be to pick movies and television tie-in books. Such books may include Men in Black 2, Transformers and Ratatouille; listing a few as examples. Although these books may not bring much educational knowledge to the juniors but it will sure develop an interest in reading for them. As long as they have an involement in reading, in their later years, they will pick more educational books for their enjoyment.
