SUKIYAKI (Beef and Potatoes)
7 (200g) lefover sukiyaki
3 medium potatoes (1b)
Cooking Sauce
2 Cups dashi stock
2 T soy sauce
1 T sugar
* yaste when sukiyaki is added.If too light, add more seasonings such as soy sauce, sugar,mirin. If too thick, dilute with dashi stock.*
A) PREPARE POTATOES
1) wash potatoes and peel.
2) removepotatoes eyes.
3) cut into 6-8 pieces.
4) soak in cold water to extract over-stong flavor.
B) LET'S COOK
1) Bring cooking sauce ingredients and potatoes to a boil. Cook over moderate heat to retain the shape.
2) Occasionally shake the pan or spoon over the cooking sauce and cook until a skewer can be inserted smoothly.
3) add remainder of sukiyaki and stir gently so as not to break the potatoes.Bring to a boil; remove from heat.
