Can you ask your gynaecologist to refer you to a reproductive medicine subspecialist, if he/she is not happy to prescribe you anything? I agree that one should not take any medicine in an incorrect way, or without a good reason. But you will need a in-depth assessment to see if you indeed need the medication. All medications carry with them side effects. But if it is necessary, then one will just have to accept the side effects.
