1.The total number of tickets sold for a school play was 450 and the money received for the ticktes sold was 42600. If adult's tickets were sold at 47.5 each and student's tickets were sold at 45 each, how many tickets of each kind were sold?

Let x adult tickets were sold
Let y student tickets were sold

x+y=450
47.5x+45y=42600

1. 450-y=x
sub x into 2nd eq
x=8940
y=-8490

2.45(x+y)=450(45)

47.5x-45x+45y-45y=42600-20250
x=8940
y=-8490

所以請問是否你的題目數字有錯?
我計了很多次及用不同的方法都是這樣啊~

然後寫條式
so,450-x student tickets were sold

$7.5x+$5(450-x)=42600
咁ok嗎??

let $X and$Y be the prices of the first and second tickets respectively.

X+ Y=450.....(1)

47.5X+45Y=42600.....(2)
