How can I remove "Anti-virus 2008"?

I weny to Downloads.com and downloaded then ran Spybot-search & destroy. It detected Antivirus 2008 , I removed it then also removed the back up that Spybot creates. That took care of the problem for me.

yep...the others forgot to tell you, this is caused by a virus itself. get the stuff they recommend and kill the "mother" virus.

go into the programs meneu. And then, search thru the programs until you find Anti Virus. When you find it, there should be sub-tab menu, which should have the uninstal option. Just click on the uninstall button, then follow the ssteps it provides you.
