Can you simplify this?

Please simplify ( 2 w ² t )^4 and explain exactly how you did it. Thanks!

(By '^4' I mean 'to the power of 4'. Dunno how to type it.)
更新1:

and to 'adambing81', I am worrying about this on a Sunday because I have my maths GCSE tomorrow. Maybe you should think it through before you decide to insult someone because of the day on which they choose to revise maths, because now you've made yourself sound like a right idiot.

We can use the indices law where (a^b)^c = a^(b*c) and everything inside the brackets is raised to that power.

(2w ²t)^4
= (2^4)(w^(2*4))(t^4)
= 16 w^8 t^4

(2 w² t)^4
2^4 w^8 t^4
16 w^8 t^4

(2w^2t)^4

= [(2*w^2* t)(2*w^2* t)]^2

= [2*w^2*t*2*w^2*t]^2

= [ 4*w^4*t^2]^2

= [4*w^4*t^2*4*w^2*t^2]

= 16*w^8*t^4

Another approach is:

(2*w^2*t)^4

= (2^4)*(w^2)^4*(t)^4

= 16*w^8*t^4 the same as before

I have use * as the multiplication sign and put it in for clarity. Not needed when you write these out clearly.

(2w^2t)^4

that means raise everything in the brackets to the power 4

which gives

2^4.(w^2)^4.t^4

ie

2^4.w^8.t^4

ie

16t^4.w^8

(conventional to put variables in alphabetical order)

(2w^2t)^4
= (2^4)[w^(2 * 4)](t^4)
= (16)[w^8](t^4)
= 16w^8t^4
