a) If the point A(-2 , 1) is translated 5 units to the right to the point B, what are the coordinates of B?
b) When the point C is translated 3 units downward, it also reaches the point B. What are the coordinates of C?

B = (3,1)

b) When the point C is translated 3 units downward, it also reaches the point B. What are the coordinates of C?
C = (3,4)

1. When translated to the right, x becomes x+h, now x=-2 and h=5, therefore, B is (3,1).
2. C translates downwards is the same as B translates upwards, when translate upwards, y becomes y+k. Now y=1, k=3, therefore, C is (3,4).
