Why the presence of ionic substance and that of acidic pollution can speed
up the rusting process ?? Besides , why the rusting occurs more quickly on the
iron surface which is scratced or bent ?? It is difficult for me to understand
how these factors can speed up the rusting process .

In extraction of metal , one of the method is reduction with carbon. If the ore is metal oxide . At the top of the furnace , calcium carbonate is heated to form
carbondioxide.Is that right to increase the amount of carbon in order to react with carbon dioxide to form carbon monoxide for a redcing agent ?

Thanks for reply ^^

Ionic substance lose electron faster than iron , therefore can speed up the rusting process. And, most iron are covered with high position of E.S.C , and they can react with acid faster than iron, the iron without protective layer , thus increase the chance of rusting .

If the iron scratced or bent, which increase the surface area of iron , more region of iron react with air and water , so the rate of rusting increase .

(個人認為)Yes, it is . It is because the O.N of carbon increase from 0 to +1 ,which is oxdization, so caebon is reducing agent .
Equation : C + CO2 -----> 2CO

Why the presence of ionic substance and that of acidic pollution can speed
up the rusting process
O2 + 4 e- + 2 H2O → 4 OH-
one can illustrate the ionic substance, dissolved oxygen and the metal as an electrochemical cell. ionic substance is for electron transfer.
One can consider metal as a base (electron donor) and the acid is proton donor (or electron acceptor), acid expose the Fe(0) layer. Also, as the formation of rust involved formation of Fe(OH)2, -OH is a base and acids drive the equilibrium

why the rusting occurs more quickly on the iron surface which is scratced or bent
scratched expose the Fe(0) and larger surface area
bent parts trap water easiler (i guess....)

CaO + SiO2 -> CaSiO3
this is for slug removal

Is that right to increase the amount of carbon in order to react with carbon dioxide to form carbon monoxide for a redcing agent

you are right
