This form of a maths equation is called factored form. In order to simplify it properly, you must put it in a expanded form. To do this, you have to multiply the 6 by the numbers inside the bracket, individually. So, if it is 6(2m-3) you must multiply 6 & 2m and 6 & -3. You would then get 12m and -18. your answer is therefore12m-18.

Well first you have to Multiply the outside number (6) by the inside number ,and then just write it out like this

6(2m-3)=12m-3

a rule that might help-

a(b+c)=ab+ac

Hope it helps :)

6(2m - 3)
= 6*2m - 6*3
= 12m - 18

6*2m-6*3
12m-18

6*2m-6*3=12m-18
