Hi,

Using distribution and algebra, I get:

2m + 2 + 3 = 5m - 10
2m + 5 = 5m - 10
15 = 3m
m = 5

Hope that helps.

2(m + 1) + 3 = (m - 2) 5.
2m + 2 +3 = 5m - 10
2m – 5m = – 5 – 10
– 3m = – 15
m = 15/3 = 5

2m + 5 = 5m - 10
15 = 3m
m = 5

2(m + 1) + 3 = 5(m - 2)
2*m + 2*1 + 3 = 5*m - 5*2
2m + 2 + 3 = 5m - 10
2m - 5m = -5 - 10
-3m = -15
m = -15/-3
m = 15/3
m = 5

2m + 2 + 3 = 5m - 10
2m + 5 = 5m - 10
5 + 10 = 5m - 2m
15 = 3m
m = 15/3
m = 5

2m+2+3= 5m-10
2m-5m= -10-2-3
-3m= -15
m= -15/-3
m=5
