Remember this e.g. 64^1/2 = the square root of 64 = 8Therefore:
1) 300(144 + X^2)^1/2
= 300(12 + X)
=3600 + 300X
300X = -3600
X = -12
2) 300(144)^1/2+ 300(X^2)^1/2
= 300(12) + 300(X)
=3600 +300X
300X = -3600
X = -12
