1. There are 42 students in F.1A.The number of boys is 1/3more than that of
girls.Find the numbers of boys and girls repectively.
2. Mr.Wong has 3 kinds of coins:$1 , $2 and$5.The number of $2coins is
2 time that of $1 coins.The number of $2 coins exceeds that of $5coins by
5.If he has a total of $65,
(a) how many $2 coins does he have?
(b) how many coins does he have?
3.There are 3 types of concert tickets:$400,$200and$100.The number of $200
tickets sold is 4 times that of $400 tickets.The number of 4100 tickets sold
is 380 more than that of @200tickets.If the total income from the tickets is
$86 000,find the number of $400 tickets sold.

1.Let the no. of boy be x
x=4(42-x)/3
7x=4*42
x=24
y=42-24=18
2.Let the number of $1coins be x
the number of $2coins be y
the number of $5coins be z
y=2x
y=z+5
x+2y+5z=65
2x-5=z, therefore, x+2(2x)+5(2x-5)=65
15x-25=65
x=6
there are 12 $2 coins
b)2(12)-5=z
z=19
therefore, there are 19+6+12=37 coins
3let the no of $400,$200and$100 be x, y and z respectively
y=4x
The number of 4100 tickets sold is 380 more than that of @200tickets
means z-380=y? (or x-380=y)
400x+200y+100z=86000
x=4(42-x)/3
7x=4*42
x=24

咁可以出到2條式
1------x+y=42
2------42乘1/3=x
之後用方法就可以計番男同女
