what is the difference of snack and dessert? IMPORTANT!!!!

please give out the clear definition of snacks and desserts.
And what are there difference???

Please give out some example and the resources.

The difference between snacks and desserts:
snacks are something like junk food or "dim sum".小吃,點心
snacks usually eat in tea-time.
deseerts are likely cakes or something which is tasted sweet 甜點心;餐後甜點
desserts uslly eat after meals or tea-time.

You need utensils to have desserts.(For example, cakes are a kind of desserts because you have to eat them with knives and forks.)
On the other hand, when you are eating snacks, you just hold it with your hand.(Such as chips and biscuits, you just hold them with your hand and you don't eat them with utensils, do you?)

Snacks = all kinds of foods which are in small of amount. they can be sweet or non-sweet.
Desserts = all sweet foods, whatever their sizes are large or small. normally we eat after the meals.

(唔係食飯時間食o既野)
例如: 糖﹐ 薯片﹐ 餅乾﹐朱古力﹐ etc

Desserts = 甜品
(食完飯之後食o既﹐飯後甜品)
例如: 糖水﹐ 雪糕﹐ 蛋糕
