想問吓呢幾句文法

1 He found the meeting over when he arrived there.
他到那里時，發現會議己經結束了。
咁會唔會易明d呀, "當他去到會場時, 他發現會議已經結束了."

2 I don't believe the story ture
(story 同ture中間要唔要is?)
要架, the story is ture係一句phrase黎架,同樣要有動詞


3 She tore the cloth in two.
她把布撕成2塊
(撕成幾塊，點寫呀?)
She tore the cloth into serval pieces.


4 His brother is good at playing chess
他的哥哥善於下棋
(一定要用playing架? )
唔洗用playing架, 一般good at後面已經可以直接講名詞了,不用再加動詞去修釋.

在英文的文法裏，每一句子句都需要動詞，而你的句子是複合句，句子是由兩句子句組成，分別是：He found the meeting over和when he arrived there，所以，found（發現）就是第一句主子句(main clause）的主動詞。

２．believe這個動詞，其實可以有這個句形

　　believe + object + adjective
如：Cambridge online Dictionary就有以下的例子：
　　[+ object + adjective] All the crew are missing, believed dead.

　　所以，你的句子並不需要加is，這種用法，與think相似，像
　　I think him right.

　　I don't believe the story true.與I don't believe (that) the story is true.意思並無分別

３．in two其實是一句片語(phrase)，也可以叫：into two，意思是into two pieces or halves：成兩塊；成兩半；成兩部分：

如：牛津第四版就有兩例：
　The vase fell and broke into two.
　She cut the cake in two and gave me half.

　若要寫成幾塊，可寫成：
She tore the cloth into (number) pieces.或She tore the cloth into a few pieces.

４．good at playing chess的at是介詞(preposition)，介詞之後必須跟名詞，動名詞或名詞相等語，因此，你的句子就要用playing這動名詞

2)要用relative clause,因為同一句唔可以有double verb(2個verb),正確句子為:I don't believe that the story is ture.

要用into,因為係令塊布變成幾塊的狀態,in係用黎表示位置
several 係幾,約干的意思

4)good at~ something/doing something
如果係用verb你可以用v-ing,如果係noun就唔駛,你可以寫:
His brother is good at playing chess
或
His brother is good at chess.
