Ohm's law is:
In a conductor current is directly proportional to voltage and inversely proportional to resistance.
I = V / R
where
I stands for current
V voltage
R resistance
If voltage is held constant increasing the resistance decreases current. Inverse of double is half.

I1=V1/R1 I2=V1/2R1 So I2=I1/2

V = IR. Voltage is constant, R doubles, therefore I = half as big.

half

ohms law, try reading about it.

Ohm's Law => V = I x R

V = constant
R = doubles

So, I is halved, so the current is halved.
