1. Find the range of values of K if the equation kx^2 + 12x + 4 = 0
has no real roots,

2. Find the range of values of K if the equation 3x^2 - 15x - 4k = 0
has no real roots.

∴∆<0
i.e. 122-4(k)(4)<0
144-16k<0
16k>144
k>16/144
k>1/9


2.
∵ The equation has no real roots,


∴∆<0
i.e. (-15)2-4(3)(-4k)<0
225+48k<0
48k<-225
k<-255/48
k<-75/16
