well, I am not sure exactly what a LCM is but just looking at the information given I notice that 13 X 3 = 39. Also, 221 X 3 = 663 and 663 / (divided by) 39 = 17 so assuming that the LCM is the lowest number that both 39 and 17 can go into evenly I would say the answer would be 663. This is just a logical guess, not a guarantee that this is the answer. Hope it helps at least :)

As 39 = 13*3, the answer is 221*3=663. This is the LCM of 39 and 17.

17 = 17
39 = 3 x 13
----------------
The LCM of 17,39 is:
3 x 13 x 17
= 663

Using "L" Divison method, you can find out.
13└39,17
17└03,17
03└03,01
---└01,01
So the LCM is 13 x 3 x 17(they are prime numbers), which is 221.

Since 39 is 3 x 13, and all three factors are mutually prime, the LCM will be 3 x 13 x 17 = 3 x 221 = 663

I don't see any need for this piece of information in order to find the LCM of the two integers.

39 is equal to 13 x 3 and 17 is prime, so they dont have and LCM unless you count 1 .
