Call the airline and talk to them. People under 18 can certainly travel alone; I did it quite a bit when I was 10-12. Just talk to a representative and see what's up.. that's the best way to figure it out.

ok..im 16 been traveling alone to california since i was 7..the last 3 times i flew i was not considered an unaccompanied minor...u have to go throught the airline itself to get the kind of ticket u want...otherwise ur an unaccompanied minor...its so stupid!

It depends where are you going to travel and which airline are you choosing to travel with.

My cousin who is 15 can travel from China to UK and vice-versa by British Airways and has no problems travelling alone.

However, 12 years of age is classified as an adult for British Airways.

I think it's best to call the airline your enquiry before you book the tickets.

it depends on what airline you fly with. some consider children up to age 11. some higher. all you have to do is have your parent buy the ticket and claim you are a minor and it is all good

Well I am probably the most experienced flyer answering this question. I have flown alone almost 50 times and to many places on many airlines. I'm only 17. You aren't a child on any airlines that fly domestically within the US..or any airlines that go to Hawaii either.

The website will not allow you to purchase ticket since you are below 18. You will have to call the airline, talk to a representative and have an adult pay for your ticket over the phone. Since there are legalities involved, airlines do not allow or have not programed their website to allow online purchase.
