The Davis Bangkok hotel is a very nice place to stay in Bangkok. The hotel itself is very classy, clean, and they staff are there to make sure your stay is as comfortable and easy as possible. The hotel is not so close to the sky rail but this didn’t seem to matter at all as they have a complimentary tuk tuk waiting outside to take you to the sky rail (when available). But even if the tuk tuk is not available when you want to go, the boys at the door are ready to organise a taxi for you, and they tell the taxi driver where you want to go, so you don’t need to worry about trying to explain that to the driver yourself. The pool was great - it’s on the top of the roof of the main building and is open until 7p.m. The buffet breakfast was also great, with the menu changing daily. There was just one thing I was a little shocked about. If you want to use the internet at the business center for only a short time, you have to pay 300 baht for 30 minutes (I think it was only 30 mins) and you can’t go back to use up your credit at a later time. This is not so expensive when you covert it back to your home currency I guess, but it is quite expensive when the internet cafe across the road charges only 75 baht for 30 mins. Overall, the Davis Bangkok really deserves a good rating as it lives up to standards.
